Sharon! It sounds like your husband Ozzy Osbourne is lucky to be alive. The 69-year-old rockstar had to recently cancel a number of shows on his US tour (yes, he’s somehow still performing) after contracting a serious infection in his thumb. That infection decided to pester Ozzy by spreading throughout his right hand, which caused it to swell to “the size of a f–cking lightbulb.” At least according to Ozzy.

Ozzy and his former giant hand told the Daily Star“I’m having the best time of my life — apart from that f—king thing with my thumb, and I didn’t realize that it was very dangerous.” “I was in hospital for a couple of days and had emergency surgery,” Ozzy continued, “and I remember waking up in the morning and Sharon [Osbourne] said: ‘What the f—k have you done to your hand?’”

SHOWS IN MOUNTAIN VIEW, CHULA VISTA, LOS ANGELES AND LAS VEGAS TO BE RESCHEULDED IN 2019 OZZY has now cancelled the remaining four shows on his North American “NO MORE TOURS 2.” Following additional evaluation from his doctors, OSBOURNE will likely require another surgery in the coming days to treat multiple infections in his right hand. The four cancelled shows were originally scheduled as follows: Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA (October 6), Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista (October 9), the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (October 11) and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (October 13). The three California shows had previously been rescheduled following his initial prognosis from doctors. All four shows will be rescheduled for 2019. “I’m so fu**ing bummed about cancelling these shows,” OSBOURNE says. “The tour had been going great and we were really looking forward to these last few gigs. We’re hoping everyone will be patient and we’ll look forward to seeing them at the shows next year.” Ticketholders for the four shows should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.

Doctors actually told Ozzy that had the infection gotten into his bloodstream, he could have died. “The funny thing is they reckon I got it from a manicure!” Ozzy said. “It won’t stop me from heading to the UK in February.”

Ozzy had surgery back in October but it’s only recently that we’re learning what the true cause of his injured thumb was. Ozzy, being a rock legend, probably wouldn’t have liked going out thanks to a manicure. Rockstars should go out in a crazier way. Like biting into a live bat. Something around those lines.

And it’s a good thing that Ozzy had his wife by his side to tend to his injured thumb. Sharon and Ozzy actually celebrated 35 years of marriage earlier this year, with Sharon sharing a throwback photo of the pair and captioning it, “Thank you Ozzy for 35 crazy & wonderful years. You carry my heart in yours, and it’s getting older and needs protecting. Happy Anniversary.”

Let’s wrap this up by giving Ozzy a thumbs up for beating yet another obstacle.
