Opera Singer Set To Perform ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ At Super Bowl!
Well this is new!
Though "The Star-Spangled Banner" has typically been sung by the likes of Beyonce, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson at past Super Bowls, the performer taking on the National Anthem at MetLife Stadium Feb. 2 has had slightly different vocal training!
World-class opera singer Renee Fleming will open Super Bowl XLVIII with her rendition of our nation's anthem.
And this is hardly Renee's first big event! The 54-year-old performed at Barack Obama's first inaugural celebration in 2009 and serenaded the Queen at her Diamond Jubilee in June 2012.
She's also sung David Letterman's infamous "Top-10 List" when the theme was, fittingly, "opera lyrics," which was really putting current events to operatic music!
Take a look at the talented Renee below!
