It’s official! The final episode of Steve Harvey‘s beloved talk show, Steve, filmed its last episode on Thursday, May 9, and the remaining new episodes are set to air on NBC through June.

Even though the 62-year-old comedian had a pretty great run on air, the peacock network decided to give his time slot to their new program, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Variety reports.

This past January, Steve revealed how he found out he no longer has a time slot with NBC. “I thought I was [going to stay with NBC], until they made an announcement a couple weeks ago that they wanted to give Kelly Clarkson the owned-and-operated NBC networks — that’s my slot,” he said at the time. “I don’t know if it sold, it’s not selling like they thought, but I thought it would have been nice of them to come to me…”

Steve added that it really hurt his feelings that NBC didn’t talk to him before going public with the news. “I’m just an old school guy, and I just thought that you’re supposed to just talk to people and just go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us. This is what we’re thinking of doing, are you OK with that?'” he explained. “No, you just don’t put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m just going to make this move right here,’ because it’s crazy.”

Kelly’s new talk show is set to air this fall. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the singer said having her own NBC program is a dream come true! “I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations,” she explained. “Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!”

Even though the Family Feud host is out at NBC, he claims he’s working on “something real cute.”
