From running into mud pits to hugging ponies, royal family member Mia Tindall clearly enjoyed the recent Festival of British Eventing in England with her parents, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall. The annual event takes place at Princess Anne’s estate at Gatcombe Park — where the Princess Royal and the Tindalls reside.
Described as a “fun day for all the family,” it incorporates the British Open, Intermediate and Novice Championships, as well as the Amateur Championship, The Corinthian Cup.
This year, spectators were delighted to see Zara, 36, competing at the event. Cheering her on from the sidelines were hubby Mike, Princess Anne, and her big brother, Peter Phillips. While Mia watched her mommy compete, the toddler was overjoyed to get some sunny cuddles from her during the breaks.
Over the three-day event, Prince George‘s cousin was spotted in some very cute outfits including a pair of denim dungarees from H&M, a navy and white striped dress paired with the most colorful wellington boots, and very sweet pink top with grey tights, which were perfect for mud jumping. From stealing kisses from her mom to getting piggyback rides from her dad, the youngster was having the time of her life.

Mia’s parents met 13 years ago when her uncle, Prince Harry, introduced Zara to Mike in Sydney, Australia during the 2003 Rugby World Cup. The couple went on to tie the knot in Scotland on July 30, 2011. Three years later in 2014, they welcomed Mia. And according to their friends, the pair “take parenthood very seriously.” In fact, Mike, 38, describes himself as a “hands on father.”
“When I was playing [rugby] I hardly saw her; now we can see her grow up. I can take her swimming and I can take her to Ninja Tots. You’ll never be able to see her there because she disappears in a puff of smoke,” he recently shared.

From everything we’ve seen from Mia, she’s definitely a ball of vibrant energy. Her proud dad has confessed, “She’s got quite a little personality on her. We encourage that.” While friends of the family have shared that three-year-old is both “hilarious and naughty.”
One pal told the Daily Mail, “She’s properly willful like her mother and grandmother. Unafraid of anything, let alone with four legs, Mia is starting to enjoy riding on her Shetland pony and has taken over the family boxer, Spey, as her own — people have to ask her if he can be stroked.”
