Kelly Clarkson is letting fans in on a big secret of hers.
In a new interview, the music icon revealed she had a cancer scare back in 2006, specifically on the same day of that year's Grammys!
“Not many people know this… but I was told that morning that I had cancerous results for something,” Kelly recently told Billboard’s "Pop Shop" Podcast.

“I went the whole day crying,” the mom-of-two added. “They redid my makeup four times because I was like, ‘Wow, so young.’ I was just completely freaking out. Then when I won, I thought, ‘Oh, my God. This is like God giving me one more thing before something horrible happens.'” That year, she took home the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Since U Been Gone" and Best Pop Vocal Album for Breakaway.
Thankfully, the former American Idol winner soon found out it was just a mistake, and she was, in fact, healthy and free from any cancer.
“I was like, ‘You completely ruined my entire day [day]',” she laughingly revealed. “As a kid watching the Grammys, that was a big dream! It was kind of the worst/greatest day. And the next day was also the worst/greatest day because I wanted to punch someone. I was like, ‘Who mixes up results? Why wouldn’t you test again?’ It was very much a roller coaster ride, that day, for me. So, it’s kind of unfortunate, but a lot of the moments got stolen from that mishap.”

This year, however, Kelly didn't attend the Grammys for a very exciting reason — because she's making new music!
"Congrats @Adele on Pop Solo Performance #Grammys2017… and sorry fans, I'm recording and not in LA for Grammys! Next year ?#NewAlbum2017," the 34-year-old wrote on Twitter during the show on Sunday, Feb. 12. We're so glad Kelly is well!
