America's favorite daytime duo are getting back together! In an interview with Closer Weekly, Kathie Lee Gifford opens up about her excitement over plans to get her act with Regis Philbin back together for Today.
“I’ve been asking for a long, long time if Regis can come be with me and Hoda,” Kathie Lee, 61, exclusively tells Closer of the reunion. “I’m so excited. We are just such great buds.”

“We’re hoping it works out!” she tells the mag. “[The network] told me I’m not allowed to announce anything, so they’ll be furious at me for saying anything, but this is what I want to happen.”
An insider exclusively reveals to Closer that NBC is currently hammering out the details of a deal that would have Regis, 83, join Kathie Lee and her co-host, Hoda Kotb, for the fourth hour of Today on a semi-regular basis.
And Regis is on board, too! He tells Closer, “I’m not doing anything right now, so if she needs me, I’m there.”

“I don’t think they are inviting me full-time,” Regis goes on to say. If they did, “I’d have to think about it. It would have to be for the right money,” he quips.
For Kathie Lee, sharing screen time with Regis and Hoda would be the best of both worlds. “I’m just so grateful — I’ve hit the jackpot twice in my life, working with Regis and again with Hoda,” Kathie Lee tells Closer. “It’s very rare to find that once, and it’s almost impossible to find it twice. I’m a blessed girl.”
