Kate Middleton and Prince William to Visit India This Spring - Closer Weekly

Kate Middleton and Prince William are gearing up for a big trip!

Kate, 33, and William, also 33, will travel to India this upcoming spring, Kensington Palace announced via Twitter on Friday, Nov. 13.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit #India in the spring of 2016, at the request of HM's Government," the tweet read. "It will be the first time The Duke and Duchess have visited the country. Further #RoyalVisitIndia details will be announced early next year!" a subsequent tweet revealed.

William's father, Prince Charles, 67, and late mother, Princess Diana, previously visited India in 1992. Though few details have been revealed about Kate and William's trip at this time, it seems their two children, Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 6 months, will not be joining the couple on their visit!
