For the star-studded event, the 35-year-old Duchess of Cambridge looked practically perfect in the white, A-line frock adorned with colorful wildflowers. She paired the look with a matching white Victoria Beckham bag, minimal silver jewelry and her new “kob” haircut.
Kate’s ensemble also interestingly included a small, green and purple bow on the front of her dress. According to Australian outlet Honey, the accessory was simply a Wimbledon tradition. Apparently, all members of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club — which hosts the annual English tennis tournament — may wear a green and purple tie or ribbon while attending the event. Who knew?!

A few days earlier, Kate debuted her new haircut while wearing a black and white polka-dotted dress at Wimbledon on Monday, July 3. Perhaps most interesting about her outfit that day were her shoes — the Duchess ditched her signature L.K. Bennett nude pumps for a pair of black, open-toed heels with an ankle strap. So chic!
During a recent interview, the mom-of-two candidly opened up about her love of Wimbledon. “Every time Wimbledon is on I am thinking, ‘Yes, I could do the same’ and get out the racket. Sadly, never the same results,” she joked of her mediocre tennis skills.
Kate then confessed her mother, Carole Middleton, has had a longtime crush on Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer! “Roger is my mother’s heartthrob. I don’t think she will mind me saying that! I think he probably knows that too,” she quipped.
Prince William’s wife additionally lamented about the time she sadly had to skip the tennis tournament because she was too pregnant with son Prince George. “I was very heavily pregnant. I wrote to [Andy Murray] afterward saying sorry for not being there,” she said. We can’t wait to see what Kate wears to Wimbledon next year!
