She’s not just the Duchess of Cambridge — she’s a supermom, too! Kate Middleton visited Leicester University on Wednesday, Nov. 28 and admitted she’s “so bad” at speaking different languages, something she hopes doesn’t rub off on her three kids.

“I have to make sure my children are better than me, that’s my aim,” the 36-year-old said of Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, six months, after an awkward encounter with a fan.

In a video shared to Instagram by Tamošaitytė Greta, a woman is in the background introducing herself as “Debbie, from Italy.” Kate replied, “Very nice to see you. Shall we say, ‘Ciao’? Trying to practice my languages, I’m so bad.” After Debbie assured Prince William‘s wife that she’s “perfect,” Kate made the comment about getting her little ones up to speed on their foreign languages.

That should be no problem though considering Charlotte allegedly already speaks some Spanish thanks to the royal family’s nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo, who is from Spain. According to People, the young royal loves to talk. “She’s very sweet and very confident — she’s always chatting away,” a source previously revealed to the magazine. “[She] is so polite, but also fun and energetic. She has beautiful manners.”

Kate, however, has previously opened up about the challenges of motherhood. “Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge — even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not,” she revealed in March 2017. “Nothing can really prepare you for you the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost.”

If George, Charlotte, and Louis grow up to be even half the amazing person Kate is, we’d be happy!
