You don’t get an amazing body like Jennifer Lopez‘s overnight! The superstar credits her amazing physique to her rigorous workout routine that she likes to do with her 43-year-old boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. Since the pair started dating in April 2017, Alex has pushed Jennifer, 49, to reach her full potential both inside and outside of the gym.
“I enjoy working out with her,” Alex said in a previous interview included in In Touch Weekly‘s latest issue, on newsstands now. “We mix it up. We like to lift, and we enjoy bike riding. She is a talented jock.” Jennifer has found pleasure in working out, too, and has garnered incredible results from hitting the gym with her beau.

Feeling like superwoman after the show tonight! When I started this run I thought omg 15 shows in 27 days that’s a lot… but I made a promise to myself that instead of letting it wear me down I would be even stronger at the end of it…I will work out and be in the best shape of my life… There were moments I was tired and there was travel and I had to fit in my workouts where I could… but here we are with only 3 shows left!! “I am 100 percent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy,” Jennifer previously explained in another interview. “I love the way working out makes me feel, so I try to keep my body hydrated and well rested after every workout. That way I’m ready to hit it hard again the next day.”
After Jennifer gets out of the gym, she makes sure to eat very clean so that she can feel just as amazing as she looks. “I make sure I drink plenty of water, I fuel my body with healthy foods, and I make it a priority to get eight hours’ sleep a night. I also love to relax with my kids after a workout and share a healthy snack with them,” she said. “I always carry fruit and veggies with me to give me something to snack on between meals.”

There are no cheat days for Jennifer either! If she ever experiences cravings, then she knows a great way to stick to her healthy meal plan. “Protein is my go-to whenever I start having cravings,” she once explained. “It fills me up and keeps me full longer. It’s a great muscle fuel.” And with a great, supportive boyfriend like Alex by her side, there’s nothing Jennifer can’t do!
