REPORTJanet Jackson Is Moving Back to LA to Be Near Family After Wissam Al Mana Split
She’s going back to Cali! Janet Jackson is reportedly moving back to LA to be near her family following her split from estranged husband Wissam Al Mana. According to Entertainment Tonight, the 51-year-old superstar — who has been living in NYC with her six-month-old son, Eissa — is more than ready to be back on the West Coast.
“LA has always been home for Janet and she is enjoying having her family so close,” a source told ET. “It’s especially important to her because she wants her son to have a close relationship with her mother [Katherine Jackson] and family. Everyone is so happy to have her back home.”

The insider also revealed that Janet is thrilled to make the move to California because that’s where she will be putting the finishing touches on her upcoming State of the World tour. “She will hit the stage with the passion and fire that her fans have come to expect from her when her tour starts on Thursday, Sept. 7,” the source said, adding that the “Rhythm Nation” singer has already dropped more than 65 pounds to get her pre-baby body back.

As previously reported, Janet welcomed her first child with Wissam, 42, in early January — three months before she called it quits with the Qatari businessman in April. The Grammy winner (who was previously wed to James DeBarge and dancer Rene Elizondo) tied the knot with Wissam in 2012.
Aside from the release of her 11th studio album, Unbreakable, and its accompanying tour, Janet had shied away from the spotlight in recent years. There was speculation when she married Wissam (who’s worth an estimated $1 billion) that the pop diva had converted to Islam as she was seen wearing head coverings and dressing more conservatively.
ET additionally reported that Janet is excited to show fans what her life currently looks like as she is preparing to shoot a documentary, highlighting her tour, as well as her new life as a mother and an entertainer.
