How Much Will A George W. Bush Painting Cost You? Buy The President’s Ornament!
It’s not an original but you can still own a miniature version of the former president’s artwork!
George W. Bush’s painting of a cardinal is being sold as part of a holiday ornament at the Bush Center’s Museum Store in Dallas, Texas. Wife Laura Bush selected the artwork to appear on both the ornament and the Center’s Christmas card.
The good news? The gift will only cost you $29.98, though you may have to move fast if you want to get your hands on one!
A shop assistant tells ABC News that the Center ordered about “10,000 in total; 5,000 in red boxes and in 5,000 in green boxes,” and they’re all “just about gone.”
The 43rd president has become more and more focused on his passion for painting recently, honing his craft by painting pets and Texas landscapes, though he recently gifted Jay Leno with a portrait at a recent taping of the Tonight Show.
In a video promoting the ornament, George shares that Laura “liked the bright red on the cardinal and the greens of the foliage,” and that he’s “flattered” by his wife’s selection. “I hope my painting meets expectations,” he adds.
