It’s a match-made in TV heaven! Emmy winning-actor James Cromwell and soap opera star Anna Stuart tied the knot on New Year’s Day, Anna confirms.

The ceremony took place at the home of Anna’s “Another World” costar Charles Keating. "Since our romance officially began at Charles' home two years ago on New Year's Eve, we decided to get married there," the 65-year-old actress told Soaps In Depth.

"Mary, Charles' wife, was 'scheming' all the while. She wanted James in a nice relationship, and she knew I was available," Anna admits.

Though the pair met in the ‘80s through Charles, they didn’t reconnect until they were both invited to a birthday party in New York.

"James and I spent the party chatting and catching up. We went out and had lunch, and it all kind of shifted from friendship to where we are today,” Anna shares.

“It's pretty cool. This is a relationship I've wanted all my life."

The couple is set to leave for Africa on their honeymoon this week and plan to throw a couple of parties on either coast when they return.

“We didn't want a big 'do' for the [ceremony],” says Anna. “We wanted to do this just for us."

Though Anna is best known for her roles on the hit soaps “Another World” and “All My Children,” James is known for both his film and television work, earning an Oscar nomination for the children’s film “Babe” in 1995 and winning an Emmy for his role on Fox’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” this past year.

James has three children from a previous marriage.
