Get it, girl! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s 15-year-old daughter, Simone Garcia Johnson, was just named the 2018 Golden Globe Ambassador, previously known as Miss Golden Globe. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association made the exciting announcement on Thursday, Nov. 16. Get the details in the video below!
The teenage model opened up about the prestigious honor in a statement. “I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in a household with strong role models and feel so honored to represent the HFPA for its 75th Anniversary,” she said. “As the newly minted Golden Globe Ambassador, I hope to serve as a role model to young people everywhere and empower them to speak out on issues they are passionate about.”

Last year’s honorees, Sylvester Stallone’s daughters, Sophia, 21, Sistine, 19, and Scarlet Stallone, 15, were on hand to introduce Simone as the latest ambassador for the annual awards ceremony. Dwayne, 45, must be beaming with pride over his eldest child’s new role.
The wrestler-turned-A-list actor — who shares Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia, and is also dad to 23-month-old daughter Jasmine with longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian — opened up about the love he has for his kids during a November 2016 interview with People.

Its Labor Day. One of my favorite holidays as we celebrate the blue collar American worker and their contributions to our country thru labor and sweat. In the spirit of Labor Day, I had an amazing philosophical conversation w/ my baby girl about the value of hard work and how respect is given when it's earned. I told her, "Baby girl when you grow up, you get out there and dent the universe thru hard work and sweat. And always make sure you do it in a positive way with class, dignity and respect". She responded by poo'ing on me in this moment as she plays her favorite game, "Drum time on daddy's big head". It was a good talk.💯 #HappyLaborDay #TheJohnsons #GoodTalksWithDaddy
“One of the best things that has happened is the fact that I became a dad at 29, very young [and] at the height of my wrestling career,” he said at the time. “I was always on the road, splitting my time and then becoming a dad later in life too as well.”
The handsome Ballers star added, “It’s really been this awesome, interesting, fascinating balance between an amazing, beautiful 15-year-old who teaches me, to [her] amazing, beautiful [sister], a baby. You just hope that you take the lessons that you learned in life and you can apply them properly. I think I’m a good dad.”
