Actress Drew Barrymore is diving into two new (and very different!) roles in her latest movie. On Saturday, February 16, the star looked completely unrecognizable in New York City when she was spotted filming her newest film, The Stand-In. In the new photos, Drew, 43, sported a platinum blonde wig and a milkmaid costume as well as a choppy brunette wig to portray her two characters, Candy and Paula, who rely on each other’s help to get them through their difficult lives.

In the upcoming romantic comedy, Candy is a washed-up movie star who employs Paula to be her stand-in when she gets booked for tax evasion and has to do community service. Although Candy and Paula seem to be getting along very well at first, Candy later finds herself homeless when Paula takes over her identity and pushes her out of her own apartment.

“I’m going into a film where I play two people, it’s a little schizophrenic,” Drew recently explained to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. “It’s honestly like the acting challenge of a lifetime, I hope I do a damn good job. I’ve got my work cut out for me.”

Although Drew has achieved mega showbiz success over the years, she previously told People that she can’t imagine her two daughters, Olive Kopelman, 6, and Frankie Kopelman, 4, becoming child actors like she once was.

That’s so not their journey. If they want to be actors [later] in life, I would be so supportive of it,” Drew confessed. “Can you imagine me being [a] mom [who is] pushing her kids out there? That’s not going to happen.”

Drew’s latest film, The Stand-In, is expected to hit theaters later this year.
