Congratulations, David Duchovny!
The 55-year-old actor received a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, Jan. 25 — just one day after his The X-Files reboot garnered impressively high premiere ratings!
David receiving his star on Jan. 25.
“I wouldn’t have a career without [show creator Chris Carter] and his show The X-Files. That really made everything happen for me as an actor,” David said of playing FBI special agent Fox Mulder, a character he previously portrayed on the series’ original 1993 to 2002 run.
“It’s a cool thing to happen,” he said of receiving the honor, according to Variety. “I grew up on 11th Street and Second Avenue in NYC and the Second Avenue Deli was [a block away]. They had their own walk of fame in front of the deli… on the street. I thought maybe I’d get one of those one day, but this is even better.”
