Courteney Cox is preparing to walk down the aisle!
The Friends alum got engaged to her rocker boyfriend of nearly eight months, Johnny McDaid, and the pair announced it in a very sweet way.
Both took to Twitter to confirm the news, along with posting an adorable selfie.
"I'm engaged to him!" the 50-year-old Cougar Town star wrote. And the Snow Patrol rocker tweeted, "I'm engaged to her!"
The news comes amid speculation they took the next step in their relationship after Courteney was spotted rocking a giant diamond bauble on her finger at dinner last night in LA.
Life & Style first reported the duo were an item last December after the brunette beauty brought the 37-year-old singer-songwriter from Northern Ireland to BFF Jennifer Aniston's holiday party in Bel-Air.
Though their mutual friend, musician Ed Sheeran, claims he introduced the pair, producer Gabriel Cowan says they met through the film Just Before I Go. Courteney directed it and Johnny wrote three songs for the movie.
"I think the first time they met was at the very first test screening, which was however many months ago,” he told Life & Style back in April at the TriBeCa Film Festival. “You know, he saw the movie and was like, ‘I need to be with the director!’”
At the time, Johnny also gushed about his future fiancee to the mag. He said: “She gets music, she gets art, she understands the way a scene is constructed, how dialogue works and she puts it all together in her mind and explains it to the world and makes me laugh and squirm and jump.”
This will be the second marriage for Courteney, who has 10-year-old daughter Coco with actor David Arquette, her ex-husband of 13 years. Their divorce was finalized last year.
