Never again! Even though we all know Claire Foy as the phenomenal actress who played the young Queen Elizabeth in the Netflix series The Crown, she joked that even with an award in her hand, it was hard for her to get into any of the 2018 Emmys afterparties. So, this year, she decided to do things a little bit differently and come fully prepared for the 2019 Golden Globes fêtes.

“I brought my passport, I’ve got everything I can possibly bring,” Claire told E!’s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. Claire, 34, even explained that she brought a close family member with her so that she could have someone confirm her identity to the afterparty security teams. “I brought my sister with me,” she added.

Though Claire didn’t win the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture this year, she still planned to celebrate with her friends following the star-studded Golden Globes ceremony. She previously opened up to Jimmy Fallon about how embarrassing it was for her to not get into any parties after the 2018 Emmys.

“I didn’t have trouble,” she said. “I was mortified.” If it wasn’t for Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, then Claire would have been standing outside all night long. “He was my knight in a white suit,” Claire said about the TV personality who got her past security. “When he got me in, I made it a point of principle. I was like, ‘Thank you, Jonathan, but I’m waiting until I’ve got the tickets and I’m going to do this properly,’ which is ridiculous.”

At the 2019 Golden Globes, Claire looked beyond gorgeous in a floor-length sparkly gold gown that showed off her enviable figure. Her estranged husband, Stephen Campbell Moore, didn’t attend the star-studded event but that didn’t seem to bother Claire who was walking the red carpet like she owned the night!
