OMG!Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Will Try for Baby No. 2 With Remaining Frozen Embryo

There will be a baby on the way soon for Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend! The model is gracing the November 2017 cover of In Style magazine and in her interview for the cover story, she revealed that after welcoming one-year-old daughter Luna Stephens in 2016, the couple is ready to have baby No. 2! She confirmed that she will try to get pregnant by having a frozen embryo implanted sometime in the near future.

Chrissy explained that when she underwent IVF treatment to conceive their daughter Luna, doctors extracted 20 embryos. After analyzing them, doctors narrowed it down to about three embryos that they felt would be successful. The first embryo —a girl — didn’t work out, the second embryo would later create Luna, and now she’s left with one more, and she already previously revealed the gender.

The 31-year-old model first sparked rumors she’s ready for baby No. 2 after she made a comment that the couple’s next child will be a boy on the 2017 SAG Awards red carpet. “Oh my God, a little boy is next for sure!” Chrissy told E! News reporter Giuliana Rancic of her and her husband’s plans during their joint interview at the special event.

Her comments immediately left fans thinking she’s expecting again, considering she was already able to assure the gender of Baby No. 2. She quickly took to Twitter to squash the false talk. “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah,” she wrote on the social media platform on Monday, Jan. 30. “And no, I am not pregnant.”

Chrissy and John, 38 — who married in September 2013 — have been very open about their struggle to conceive and eventual turn to IVF. The duo welcomed their first child, a nine-month-old daughter named Luna, in April 2016 after years of difficulties.

“You know, sometimes it’s just harder for some people than for others. We’re just happy that we were able to do it with our doctor,” the “All of Me” singer revealed in a previous interview. “He’s never really told us that there was something specific that he could identify was the reason why it just didn’t work out naturally. We did what we had to do.”

Despite the circumstances, Chrissy and John had admitted on numerous occasions they would love to make Luna a big sister in the near future. “Yeah. [Parenthood is] a beautiful thing,” John revealed in December 2016. “We want to have a few more hopefully. Three or four. We’ll play it by ear though.”
