'Cheech & Chong' Star Tommy Chong Reveals He's Battling Rectal Cancer - Closer Weekly

Tommy Chong, best known for starring in the Cheech & Chong movies, has been diagnosed with rectal cancer for the second time after previously battling prostate cancer.

The 77-year-old star revealed the news to Us Weekly, saying, “I’ve had some medical issues lately. I got diagnosed with rectal cancer.”

A die-hard advocate for the decriminalization of marijuana, Tommy shares that it’s helping him once again in dealing with his pain. He shared, “I’m using cannabis like crazy now, more so than ever before. I’m in treatment now. I’ve been — just the case either way, either I get healed or I don’t. But either way, I’m going to make sure I get a little edge off or put up.”

Cannabis isn’t the only thing he’s relying on these days as he has also been doing some spiritual reading. His book of choice? Joel S. Goldsmith’s book, Spiritual Power of Truth. It’s clearly made an impact on him as he claims, “It’s what’s kept my head up. So that’s my book.”
