Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley “Feel Honored” to Host the CMA Awards for 10th Consecutive Year!
Talk about a match made in heaven! Country music stars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are gearing up to host the 2017 CMA Awards for the 10th time tonight — and we know they’ll make it an epic show to celebrate this big anniversary!
“Well, it’s extremely flattering, and for me, I take it seriously, and doing a good job means a lot to me personally,” Brad, 45, recently told Billboard. “Every year we have figured something else out that would make it better for the next year, so I think we’ve been able to improve on our performance each year. But simply, just the fact that the CMA asked us again, I am very flattered and honored.”

“I think that over the years, Carrie and I have not only grown into our roles, but that we have also slipped into our individual characters,” he continued. “The time has helped us to complement each other and build a chemistry together.”
Aside from previous longtime CMA host Vince Gill — he served as emcee for 12 years from 1992 until 2003! — Carrie, 34, and Brad have hosted the award show the longest. And it’s not only hosting that brings these two back to the stage — Brad has won 14 CMA Awards while Carrie has won six!
The on-stage duo is also ringing in this big milestone in a funny way! “We’re planning matching tattoos to commemorate our 10-year anniversary,” Carrie said, according to USA Today. Brad jokingly added, “Yeah, we both got them. Carrie has two or three more tattoos than I do at this point.” Does it get any funnier than the two of them together? Don’t forget to watch the 51st Annual CMA Awards tonight at 8/7c on ABC!
