You go, girl! Actress Blake Lively recently shared her weight loss progress on Instagram. The 30-year-old mama explained how she’s been hitting the gym extra hard since welcoming her second baby girl, Ines, with husband Ryan Reynolds. The star revealed that she lost 61 pounds of pregnancy weight — and as you can see in the video above, she’s never looked better.
She admitted that it’s not enough to want your body back — you really have to put in the hard work. “Thanks @DonSaladino for kickin’ my A-double-S into shape. Ten months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud,” she wrote on Instagram. Her followers were quick to encourage her on her fitness journey. “So true! Still busting my butt to keep in shape!! You look amazingly beautiful as always,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration. I’m on month 10 after delivery but still have a way to go.”
Blake gave birth to Ines in September 2016 making her oldest daughter, James, 3, a big sis. And even though she said that her body changed a ton after being pregnant with her eldest — she accepted it. “After I had a kid I thought, ‘Okay, this is what my body looks like. This is amazing — I earned this body,'” she explained in a 2016 interview. “‘And it’s not as good as it was before I had a kid, but, oh well.'”
During filming for her 2016 thriller The Shallows, the star admitted how she got in the best shape of her life for the role. “I’ve never been in that great a shape in my whole life,” she explained. “So to do it after having a kid was actually really nice. Because you see your body after having a kid and it’s beautiful because you just gave birth, but it’s also ‘Oh my god, this is not what my body looks like.’ You feel like you’re never going to get your body back again.” Good for you, Blake.
