HGTV's Home Town stars Ben and Erin Napier are officially parents! The home improvement gurus welcomed their new baby, Helen, and announced her birth on Jan. 4 by sharing photos from the hospital on Instagram. The precious snaps show the new mom and dad already completely in love with their daughter— so sweet!
What a wonderful way to begin the new year — and fans of the couple definitely agree! Erin's comment section is flooded with congratulatory messages from viewers who watch the show. "She is beautiful! Congratulations and welcome to the craziest most beautiful adventure of your lives," one fan shared. Another added, "Welcome to Motherhood. A club you'll never leave. You'll be blessed with a love for your children you never felt before. These are the best days of your life. She is precious. Very happy for both of you."
"I ran crying, falling onto Ben who was sound asleep. I couldn’t think of anything to say. I just held out the test to him, shaking and crying, 'What does this mean? What does this mean?' though I knew perfectly well what it meant," she explained. "He wrapped his huge, heavy arms around me and held me so close and said, 'Everything is going to be great.' And we cried. Ben felt nothing but joy."
Although Erin was excited to be a mother, she admitted that she had feared motherhood ever since she was a child. "My prayer for Helen is that she will be brave and kind. I pray that she will not be bullied the way I was, and that she will be a protector of the ones who are. I pray that she will learn that from her father, the protector who loves the people in his life so well," she added. "Thank you for making me a mother, Ben. Thank you for your heart and your love that’s big enough to carry Helen and I both, and for holding my hand every step of the way."
