Antonio Banderas is Heading Back to School to Become a Fashion Designer
Though Antonio Banderas is already a successful actor, director and producer, he’s setting his sights on a surprising new career — as a fashion designer!
During a recent talk show interview, the 54-year-old star announced he’s moving to London to study clothing design at the esteemed Central Saint Martins, a school under the University of the Arts London.

Antonio showed off his personal style at a film festival event in 2014.
“It’s something that has been on my mind for a long time and probably one of the best schools in the world is here, Saint Martins University, and so I am going to start studying with them,” Antonio said of his plans on Thursday, March 19.

The father-of-one — he has an 18-year-old daughter, Stella, with ex-wife Melanie Griffith — isn’t the first star to study at Central Saint Martins. Fashion designers Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Stella McCartney are all graduates of the prestigious college.

While the ‘Evita’ actor noted he’s dedicated to learning this new trade, he vowed he will not completely give up his acting career to become a full-time designer.
“Of course I won’t stop my professional life, I’ll continue acting, directing, but this is a new thing,” he said during an on-air interview with ‘ITV’s Loose Women.’
