Antonio Banderas is looking good after a health scare!

The 56-year-old actor was hospitalized last week after he suffered chest pains during a workout. He was rushed to the nearby St. Peter’s Hospital in Surrey, England and was later discharged.

“We can confirm that last Thursday Antonio was admitted to the hospital after having experienced chest pain while exercising,” a representative said in a statement obtained by People. “However, Antonio was released that same day after doctors performed a check-up which confirmed his good health.”

Though he was experiencing heart problems, Antonio's rep said that he received treatment on Thursday, Jan. 19 and it was not a “major health scare.”

It looks like The Legend of Zorro star is feeling a lot better now. He took to Instagram on Monday, Jan. 30 to share a selfie with his new girlfriend, Nicole Kimpel, while out on a walk in the English countryside near his home in Surrey.

“Enjoying nature after a startle,” he wrote in the caption, then added the Spanish word for “kisses” at the end.

Antonio and his 36-year-old girlfriend moved to the countyside just outside of London last year, after the Shrek star grew tired of the party atmosphere in most cities.

“I find Surrey completely magical,” he recently told The Sunday Times UK. “I am not a party person anymore, so I have the space and peace to write and really get inside my own head — I am working on several of my own scripts."

Antonio bought a five-bedroom house in Surrey shortly after his divorce from actress Melanie Griffith was finalized. The former couple were married for 18 years before they announced their split in 2014 — but they still remain amicable. They also share 20-year-old daughter Stella Banderas together.
