Emy spends her time at the office reading through 30+ stories per day and making necessary edits to bring readers the most accurate, easy-to-read, and enjoyable content possible. However, she sometimes just can’t resist writing about a juicy YouTube scandal, gushing about one of the precious Kardashian kids (Team Saint 4 life) or putting together a gallery of crazy Bachelor moments.

Education

Emy graduated from Emerson College in 2014 with a B.S. in journalism. Once you’re in the Emerson Mafia, there’s no getting out.

Work history

Emy got her start in entertainment writing for the Dick Clark Productions websites, including the American Music Awards, the Streamy Awards, the American Country Countdown Awards, the Hollywood Film Awards and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. She was the creator of the “Ultimate 5SOS Fan Quiz” and the official meme-maker for Miss America.

In 2015, Emy got her first full-time job as a web video editor for TMZ, and was responsible for weeding through video footage from reporters and digging up the most intriguing stories. One of those was the Ariana Grande doughnut-licking incident. You’re welcome, world.

After that, Emy spent a couple of years as a staff writer, and eventually senior writer, for Hollywood Life, which also included managing social media, video production, and doing on-camera interviews with celebs such as Katherine McNamara, the Backstreet Boys, Steve Harvey, Joey Graceffa and more. In 2017, she headed to In Touch, Life & Style, and Closer as a senior writer. She was later promoted to senior editor, and in April 2019, deputy editor.
