Art director Danielle Delph always wondered if she and her mom would have been friends if they’d grown up together.

“Would we be in the same classes? Would we have the same sense of humor? Would people tell us we were inseparable?” the Florida State University grad muses on her website.

To experiment with the idea, Delph decided to photoshop herself into a few of her mother’s old photographs, just to see what it would look like.

The verdict? “After seeing myself in her childhood photos, I’m pretty sure we would have been great friends,” she writes of her project entitled, “If I Had Known My Mother Back Then.”

Ranging from their days as toddlers to fun times spent in college, Delph’s creativity is truly incredible.

“Thanks Mom for being the same friend to me now, that you would have been then…[and] for digging up and shipping out tons of old photos with zero explanation as to why,” Delph adds.
