Kudos to Will Smith! While training to run a marathon on his new Facebook Watch Series, Will Smith’s Bucket List, he revealed that he didn’t drink a single drop of alcohol when he was rising to fame in Hollywood.

“I didn’t drink for over a decade. You know, during my rise as a movie star I was, like, wildly disciplined,” the 50-year-old actor explained while being hooked up to an EKG machine shirtless. “So being in this place in my life, even something as simple as taking my shirt off while I’m out of shape, like, you know this for me now, allowing myself to be seen less than optimally, is new.”

Will explained that he was so focused on perfecting his craft that he didn’t want anything to mess up his success. “I was willing to die to be the biggest movie star in the world and there was nothing more important than that,” he admitted.

He added: “I’m really in a different place in my life as I’ve gotten older I don’t feel the pressure of living up to the billboard image of myself like I used to, and living with these imperfections and accepting my weaknesses has brought me so much freedom. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, also said it took her awhile to deal with success in Hollywood and find happiness. She opened up about her long road to enlightenment on her own Facebook Watch Series, Red Table Talk.

“I’m 47 years old and I want you to know that this is probably the first year of my life that I can say that I am happy,” she confessed on a Monday, February 25, episode. “Because that’s how long the journey’s been.”

Will and Jada are the perfect example of finding happiness and success in your career!
