Injury has once again struck the ballroom.

A day before the last Dancing with the Stars performance show of the season, pro dancer Mark Ballas was rushed to the hospital after seriously injuring his shoulder during rehearsals Sunday afternoon.

The 27-year-old was practicing a lift with celebrity partner Candace Cameron-Bure when his shoulder popped. A video of the incident shows the dancer writhing around in pain as fellow pros, Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough, rush to his side.

He has since been released from the hospital, though it remains unclear whether he will be able to participate in tonight's live show.

Mark and Candace are one of four couples left competing for the coveted mirror-ball trophy and the show reportedly has another expert learning the steps in case Mark can't compete, though sources say he's eager to perform.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the dancer has suffered this type of injury. He dislocated his left shoulder during the 2007 season finale while performing with then-partner Sabrina Bryan.

While some speculate the injury may ruin Candace's chances of winning the top prize, the former Full House star has such a large fan following the set-back could have zero impact on the votes.
