She’s a great actress, an ex-Scientologist, and super gorgeous. But if fans are unclear on one thing about Leah Remini‘s life and career, it’s why she left the hit show The Talk.

The show first debuted back in 2010, and after one season, Leah Remini was released from the series. “It is official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show. Sorry to my fans. You worked so hard! I adore you guys,” she confirmed in August 2011 on Twitter. “I want to thank you all for the fight you have put up. Man! You guys are awesome! It warms my heart to know you were there for me.”

However, the 47-year-old is the first to admit her outgoing personality cost her the role, admitting that they “absolutely” should have fired her. “I think it’s because I wasn’t my best self there, I don’t know how to conduct myself,” she said in a 2015 interview with Howard Stern. “Because I could not subscribe to a certain way of doing things. The point is, most smart people in this business shut their mouth. If I wanted to be in this kind of show I need to shut my mouth and do what my bosses tell me to do. I can’t do that. That [was] maybe not a good fit in that way.”

But who could ever forget her highly-publicized feud with one of the show’s other co-hosts Sharon Osbourne? At the same time of Leah’s departure, her other co-host Holly Robinson Peete was also fired from the show. Shortly after they left, Leah couldn’t help but accuse Sharon for having something to do with their firing. “Sharon thought me and Holly were ‘ghetto’…we were not funny, awkward, and didn’t know ourselves,” Leah previously tweeted in 2012. “She has the power that was given to her.”

Sharon refuted back on Twitter saying, “In response to Leah Remini’s continuous comments that I had her fired from The Talk, let me just go on the record to say I had absolutely nothing to do with her departure from the show and have no idea why she continues to take to Twitter to spread this false gossip. Leah knows that I have never been in the position to hire or fire anyone on the show. That being said, my only wish is that Leah would just stop all this negative, unprofessional, and childish behavior. It’s been seven months… it’s time to move on. Leah is a very talented actress and I only wish her happiness and success. I know that better things are to come if she can just get beyond all this negativity.”

Leah is no longer angry with Sharon today. While talking with Howard in 2015 she said, “I don’t really know what Sharon felt, all I know and all Holly [Robinson Peete] knows is we thought we were friends. That’s all. And in my world, if I call you a friend and you call me a friend I do expect a lot from you.”

And although The Talk wasn’t for her, Leah has no regrets. “I did it and I was like, ‘Oh this is how you have to do, you have to be nice to people, you have to go by their schedule, you have to talk about what they want to talk about,’” Leah said. “I didn’t want to do that. I would do another talk show if it was the way that I wanted to do it. Like, you can’t tell me what we’re talking about and I want to hear real stuff.” Today, Leah is set to star in the upcoming Season 2 of Kevin Can Wait with her former The King of Queens co-star Kevin James. You go, girl!
