Royal fans were divided when they found out Meghan Markle and Prince Harry named their first son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. However, when comedian Amy Poehler learned Baby Sussex’s name, she didn’t hesitate to let everyone know just how much she likes it.

“Well, what an exciting day for Archies!” Amy, 47, told People about the royal baby’s May 6 birthday. “And isn’t it nice just to hear good news? We’re so desperate for good news.”

The Parks and Recreation star then revealed why Archie is such a great moniker. “I love that name — I’ve been a fan for 10 years,” she joked while referencing her and ex-husband Will Arnett‘s 10-year-old son, Archie Arnett, who also has the same first name. “So welcome to the club!”

Amy and Will also share another son, Abel Arnett, who is 8.

Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, didn’t exactly explain why they named their baby boy Archie, but according to nameberry.com: “Archie is a boy’s name of German origin meaning ‘truly brave’.” How cool! Since he’s been born, Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. hopes baby Archie will “help mend the family rift” between the young royal and the rest of the Markle clan.

“We’d all love to meet the baby and become a part of his life — especially my dad,” he told The Sun. “I’m hoping that becoming a mother will open up her eyes and shed light on what family means. Maybe she will see the importance of family now — and open up to my dad and let him be part of the baby’s life.”

Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, also expressed his joy about his new grandson to The Sun. “I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity and honor,” he gushed. “God bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and God save the Queen [Elizabeth].”

Hopefully, they’ll meet Archie soon!
