Tracker fans have been loving the show’s newest character, Randy, and are wondering how long he will stick around to help Colter Shaw solve small-town mysteries.

Who Is Randy on ‘Tracker’?

Randy is Bobby’s cousin who has been tasked with helping out Colter in Bobby’s absence. Just like Bobby, Randy is a genius when it comes to computer hacking. Randy was brought into the fold in season 2, episode 10, when Bobby was unable to assist.

As for the reason why Bobby was absent, Randy hinted that his cousin was dealing with something important offscreen.

“Bobby is dealing with some family stuff, but he wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging,” Randy said during a phone conversation with Colter during the episode that he made his debut in.

Colter revealed that it was not the first time he had worked with Randy.

“I remember you. You helped me with that case where you hacked into the police server,” the rewardist said.

“Some of my best work,” Randy said.

Randy also revealed that he is the one who showed Bobby “how to jailbreak his phone” which meant Colter would be in good hands.

Bobby was also missing from season 2, episode 11, with Randy filling in for him on the case as well.

Fans are holding out hope that Bobby, who is played by Eric Graise, will be back on the show again soon, spotting him in a midseason trailer clip that has yet to air on TV.

“Reenie is back but NO Velma & still NO Bobby. This episode needs Russell Shaw,” one person pointed out on X in a March 3, 2025, post. “Hey Reenie, I know he’s your BF but you need to filter all requests coming from Elliot, moving forward.”

“Is Bobby still in the show?” another X user asked in a February 24, 2025, post on X.

“Missing Bobbie, but Randy is great too,” one person commented under a March 3, 2025, Instagram post on Tracker’s official page.

“Where is Bobby?” another fan asked in another Instagram comment on Tracker’s account.

Who Plays Randy on ‘Tracker’?

Randy is played by Chris Lee, who many might recognize from his role in the series Legacies. He played Kaleb Hawkins on the show for 60 episodes from 2018 to 2022. His other credits include appearances in S.W.A.T. and Empire. Chris acted in the TV series The Chi for eight episodes between 2018 to 2024.

Chris’ involvement in Tracker was first announced in February by Deadline before he made his debut as Randy on the CBS drama series. The outlet reported that he had been “tapped for a substantial recurring role.” However, the outlet did not reveal how many episodes Chris would be appearing in.

Chris celebrated his news about the Tracker role by reposting the article on his Instagram account with the caption, “Been up to a few things.”

“Awww man you’re great on the show! Loving your work in the episode this week!” one supporter commented, while another person said, “Just watched the episode with you in it! So excited! I LOVE TRACKER. Such a good series.”
