Kelly and Mark were thrilled to celebrate Lola’s college graduation from New York University in May 2023. She studied music and production at the school. The Live With Kelly and Mark hosts attended the ceremony at Yankee Stadium and posed for family photos after watching their daughter mark her milestone. 

She Is a Talented Singer

Shortly after her college graduation, Lola released her debut single, “Paranoia Silverlining.” 
“The song is about the idea that sometimes your biggest fears are all in your head. I think a lot of people get paranoid, and the silver lining of it all is that there’s really nothing to be paranoid about,” she said. “It was a super therapeutic process. I think everyone came to a bunch of realizations while writing it because we’re all pretty paranoid.”

Lola Gives Her Mom Fashion Advice 

Lola is quite the fashionista, helping her mom pick out outfits for red carpet events. 
“She oddly says that my clothes should be tighter and shorter, which has the reverse effect, as it does, and I wind up actually making my skirts longer and blousier and bigger,” Kelly explained. 

She Threw a Huge Party When Her Parents Were Out of Town

In her 2022 memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, Kelly recalled the time Lola threw a huge party at the family’s Manhattan home. Kelly and Mark were out of town at the time but found out about the “rager” when the motion detectors were triggered in their residence. 
“Mark decided that she should be punished by living at said home instead of her dormitory for her freshman year … I explained to Mark that his idea only punished me,” Kelly shared of how she and her husband disciplined their child. “My plan, however, was inspired: ‘Let’s change the locks.'”
 

Lola Often Receives Great Advice From Her Parents  

After more than three decades in the entertainment industry, both Kelly and Mark dish out career advice to all of their kids.

“[They tell me] just to stay humble, respectful, kind and hardworking,” Lola said. “It’s always been their priority in raising my brothers and I, just how to act in general, not even just in specifically your career, but everyday life.”
