Hoda Kotb’s Family Home Is Filled With Love! Tour the ‘Today’ Star’s Long Island House

When she wants to sneak away from the bright lights of the Big Apple, Hoda owns a stunning four-bedroom property on the water in Long Island, New York, per Newsday. The I Really Needed This Today author has given many glimpses inside the residence on Instagram, and she spends much of her time off at her second home.

Everything from the chic chandelier that hangs over the dining room table to the children’s artwork on the walls makes the house feel like a home. 

Hoda’s abode may be full of love these days, but the broadcast journalist said her pad was nearly empty when she welcomed her first daughter, Haley Joy, in 2017. “I had no stuff,” she told People at the time. “The only things I had when I got home were a Rock ‘n Play bassinet, Pampers and formula. There was nothing there.”

The mother of two shared a gorgeous photo of the first snowfall of 2022 that she captured from her glass door. 

Like every new mom, Hoda learned from experience how to take care of a child. Thanks to her former flame, Joel, who is also a proud dad to his eldest daughter, Kyle, from a previous relationship, it wasn’t that hard for her to adjust. The journalist knew she could rely on him for everything, especially when they adopted the star’s second child, Hope Catherine, in 2019.

The pair, who got engaged in November 2019, announced their split in January 2022. Even after their breakup, Hoda shared on Today that she and Joel will remain dedicated to coparenting their two young daughters. 

“Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays, and we decided that we are better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our adorably delightful children and as friends,” she told viewers at the time. “It’s not like something happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason, a season or a lifetime, this was for a season.”

Despite their split, one thing that is for certain is that the couple made the best memories in their NYC apartment, as well as her Long Island pad with their kids. While the two had no challenges when they first started living together, the Emmy winner said the only “weird” part was when she had to tell her mom they were moving in together.

“It’s like we’re kids,” Hoda dished on her Sirius XM show in October 2016. “I was afraid to tell my own mother that I was moving in with my boyfriend. I was afraid. I don’t why! I know it sounds weird.”

Holiday Fun

Hoda hosted Christmas at her beautiful home in 2021. The family opened presents in the living room and all joined in to make pancakes in the kitchen later on.

Hoda’s living room is filled with a ton of toys for her kids. It looks like she can’t get enough of family time!

The house comes with a long hallway that leads to all the bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s also around the corner from the beautiful white staircase.

Haley and Hope’s playroom is every child’s dream. They have a ton of space to run around and play, and they even have a coloring area.

Hoda’s Bedroom

Aside from having a bed for Hoda and the kids to snuggle on, the master bedroom features a wooden chest of drawers with a TV placed on top.

Haley’s Room

Haley’s room is perfect. She has the cutest stuffed animals sitting right at the corner of her bed, and she has also extra sheets in case she gets cold.

The lovebirds and their kiddos don’t even need to step outside in order to watch the sunrise over the beautiful water.

Her Gorgeous Bedroom

Hoda gave fans a look inside of her white and turquoise-themed bedroom while celebrating her birthday in August 2023.

“I am so happy to be 59 this year. I feel so good about it,” she told Today viewers at the time. “If you’re worried about aging, and I know aging’s a thing, 59 is amazing. It’s an amazing year.”
