Candace and her husband, Valeri Bure, first purchased the split-level property for nearly $2.4 million in 2015, the L.A. Times reported. Shortly after becoming the proud owners of their stunning residence, which was built in 1965, the longtime lovebirds made some renovations and turned it into their own dream home.
The Hallmark star’s house features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a massive kitchen, a family room, a formal dining area and more. The interior boasts hardwood floors, raised ceilings and an immaculate stone fireplace.
Candace and the retired hockey player — who tied the knot in 1996 — also have a second floor where you can find the pair’s master bedroom, which is fitted with dual vanities, a rain shower and a balcony. The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries actress’ outdoor area is perfect for morning coffee as it gives a birds-eye view of the ocean.
If she wants to switch up the scenery, Candace can take a step outside to her backyard, which looks right out to the tree-covered mountains. The View alum’s outdoor area also features a spot for dining, plenty of grass for her dogs to run around and a pool.
As the owner of a big house, Candace and Valeri have more than enough room for their three kids, Natasha, Lev and Maksim. Since none of their children still live at home anymore, the doting mom was happier than ever to quarantine with her family amid the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020.
“I started 2019 off as an empty nester, and now I’ve got a full house again,” she told Us Weekly in April of last year. “I am very happy that I have my kids home. And spending time with my husband too. Because a lot of times we’re like two ships passing in the night with our work schedule.”
While they were home, Candace gushed she was making some “really great” memories with her kiddos. “I’m very thankful that I have my family,” she sweetly shared with Closer in May 2020. “We’ve just been enjoying time together — cooking meals and playing lots of board games and watching Netflix.”
Candace described her home’s gorgeous contemporary beach aesthetic during a May 2022 interview with Better Homes & Gardens.
“We are coastal and mountain living, and we want our home to be an extension of the outside,” she explained. “It’s a comfortable, casual vibe that’s durable for dog and people traffic. We echo the blue shades of the ocean, pool and sky throughout the decor.”
The Balancing It All author said she particularly enjoyed the year-long renovation process when they first purchased the house. She had the creative freedom to design it exactly how she wanted.
“This was the first house we designed and decorated with ‘adult’ furniture and decor,” Candance said. “Meaning, I didn’t have to worry about babies crawling around or kids drawing on the walls!”
