Fans were heartbroken when they heard Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines won’t continue Fixer Upper after this season airs. That said, many now want to know: When does Season 5 start? The answer? Sooner than you think!

On Nov. 28, the hit HGTV’s final season will hit the small screen. According to the show’s official blog, “Fans can expect that the upcoming season of Fixer Upper will be the best season ever and we can’t wait for it to hit the air later this year.”

Joanna said on their Magnolia blog, “We are really, really proud of season 5. We laid it all on the field and didn’t hold anything back. We think it’s the perfect finale to this amazing journey we’ve been on. Season 5 begins in November and [our spin-off]Behind the Design will follow shortly after. There’s so much good, new stuff coming your way!”

November will be a big month for Chip and Joanna, as that’s when their collaboration with Target will hit stores. “At the core of the Magnolia brand is the desire to make homes beautiful, but with a focus on family and practicality. We want to create spaces that families want to gather in,” Joanna recently said of their newest project. “We’ve always dreamed of working with a retailer to create a collection that could reach more people at a more affordable price point. Coming together with Target not only allows us to design beautiful pieces for people all over the country, it also allows us to help communities in a bigger way than we could have ever imagined.”

The pair announced their show will end after this upcoming season on Tuesday, Sept. 26. “It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that Season 5 of Fixer Upper will be our last,” they wrote on their blog. “While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with. Our family has grown up alongside yours, and we have felt you rooting us on from the other side of the screen. How bittersweet to say goodbye to the very thing that introduced us all in the first place.”

The statement continued, “This has been an amazing adventure! We have poured our blood, sweat and tears into this show… Though our Fixer Upper chapter is coming to a close, we aren’t done with [our hometown, Waxo, TX]. We aren’t done renovating homes. We aren’t done designing things to make your home your favorite place on earth. We aren’t done working towards restoration in all things or helping out those who could use a hand. In fact, in all of these of things, we are just getting started.” We can’t wait to see what Season 5 of Fixer Upper has in store!
