Fans have been wondering what’s wrong with Sharon Osbourne ever since a medical scare took her out of commission last year, but we’re happy to report that the 65-year-old is back and, for better or worse, as outspoken as ever! She’s made a remarkable recovery since a back injury left her unable to walk.

Sharon explained the whole saga on The Talk in March 2017 once she returned from her six-week leave. “I was at home, I was playing with my granddaughters,” she recalled. “I was on the floor with them playing with toys and I got up. And as I got up from the floor… I felt this big twist in my back at the base of my spine, and I didn’t think anything of it, and then that night, it was really, really hurting.”

At first, she brushed off the pain, thinking it was just a sign that she needed to get in shape. “When I put weight on, I get back pain, and I’m like, ‘I got to go on a diet,’ and the next day, I couldn’t walk. What had happened was I had done my L-3 and L-4 discs damage and the L-3 had kind of mushed up but it entangled around a nerve. So it was pressing on this nerve on my back that affected my legs [and] I couldn’t walk properly,” she said.

In fact, the problem was so severe, Sharon had to go under the knife. “They tried to do it with an epidural to ease the pain and that didn’t do any good,” she told her co-hosts. “So I had to go in and have surgery. And I’ve been in bed doing nothing.”

Her back pain flared up again in June, forcing her to pull out of her job judging the auditions for Britain’s Got Talent, as the Daily Mail reported. Still, the problem wasn’t as bad as The National Enquirer touted. In May, the Enquirer claimed Sharon was “on her last legs” and was “fighting for life” — claims that Sharon’s rep quickly rebuffed, as Gossip Cop reported. We’re so glad she’s ok!
