They’ve been working alongside each other for over three decades, but Wheel of Fortune star Vanna White insisted that she and host Pat Sajak don’t bicker that much. In fact, the beloved game show model revealed that she can only remember one specific argument that the dynamic duo got into — and it had nothing to do with the show!
“Believe it or not, Pat Sajak and I have only had one argument in 36 years and that was over putting ketchup on a hotdog,” Vanna, 62, admitted to Fox News on Friday, May 10. “I agree it is [weird].” The blonde beauty hilariously explained that she prefers ketchup and mustard, while her colleague only goes for the latter.
Throughout their famous run, Pat, 72, and Vanna have accomplished many things together. Most recently, the television personality was awarded the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Career as a Game Show Host of the Same Show.” “Thank you very much!” Pat said while receiving the honor on-air during the show on May 8, before turning to his stunning cohost. “I couldn’t have done it without you, kid,” he gushed to Vanna.
Pat and Vanna have made their fans fall in love with them and Wheel of Fortune thanks to their special and unbreakable bond. This past February, the Graduation Day actress opened up about her relationship with Pat and their run on one of the longest-running game shows ever. “People at home see the chemistry between Pat and me,” she exclusively told Closer Weekly earlier this year. “We are like brother and sister, and I think that is what makes it work.”
The pair’s friendship is even more genuine behind-the-scenes. “We get along so well and are really best friends. We always have been,” Vanna told Closer.
Today, Vanna and Pat still make time to come together four days per month to film Wheel of Fortune and will continue to do so until at least 2022. In the past, both stars have made it known that when their times comes to leave the long-running game show, they’ll certainly do it together. “I can’t imagine being up there with someone else,” Vanna once admitted. Don’t worry, Vanna, we definitely can’t either!
