Tracker Fans Divided Over Colter's Relationship With Billie
“Lexington” – Colter reluctantly teams up with his nemesis, fellow reward seeker Billie Matalon, to track down a missing racehorse, on the CBS Original series TRACKER, Sunday, March 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Tracker fans are split as Colter Shaw’s romance with Billie Matalon finally heated up onscreen in season 2 after a shocking mission. While some supported the rewardist’s chemistry with his counterpart, others simply wished that Colter would’ve struck up a relationship with Reenie Greene in the episode instead.

In season 2, episode 15, Billie did a huge favor for Colter and went undercover in a prison to find out what happened to a missing prison guard. After the mission and multiple instances of chemistry brewing between the two over the course of the show’s two seasons, Colter and Billie kissed and the rest was left up to viewers’ imaginations.

In an Instagram post shared on the show’s official page after season 2, episode 15, aired, many fans were torn in the comments on whether or not to root for Colter’s relationship with Billie or to continue hoping something will happen with him and Reenie in the future.

“I love this show, but I’m very much shipping Colter and Reenie!” one person commented on the post.

“I’m thinking they’re gonna be a slow burn!” someone said, to which another person replied, “Colter and Reenie are gonna be a slow burn?”

“I’m thinking so,” the first person responded back.

Colter is played by Justin Hartley and Billie is played by his real-life wife, Sofia Pernas. Reenie is played by Fiona Rene.

“I really wish they would stop trying to push her and Colter together. It’s a no bueno on every level,” another viewer explained.

“Considering they’re married in real life I think they can make that work,” another person replied.

“Can we please get Colter paired ROMANTICALLY with Reenie, not Billie,” someone else pitched. “I don’t like his real life wife being on the show so much. It takes me OUT. It’s also nepotism.”

“CAN YOU PLEASE STOP PUTTING THOSE TWO TOGETHER. WE KNOW ITS HIS WIFE IN REAL LIFE. IT JUST TAKES ME OUT OF THE ‘TRACKER’ WORLD. PLEASE PUT COLTER WITH REENIE!” another fan pleaded.

“Colter and Reenie need to get their heads out of their butts and start dating each other,” another person said.

“Really good show tonight. Sofia was awesome in her character Billie’s prison scenes,” said another.

“Great show, LOVE his wife in the show!! They are great together!” someone else commented on the post.

Though fans are divided, Justin, 48, has gushed over working with his wife on his hit CBS show, in which he also serves as an executive producer.

“I don’t know if I’d call it a love story, but there’s a romantic spark and chemistry between the two,” he said of Colter and Billie’s enemies to lovers trope during a March interview with USA Today. “I enjoy being around her. I’m having the time of my life with this show. I love it. To be able to share it with the people you love makes it even better.”

The This Is Us alum said that he and Sofia, 35, like watching TV shows together at home when they’re not at work.

“I figure, turn on all the sound in the dark room and get the whole immersive experience,” Justin revealed. “That’s how these shows were designed to be watched.”
