Keeping the spark alive in a relationship may be hard for some Hollywood couples, but Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling — who tied the knot more than thirteen years ago — are still more in love than ever.
Although they have dealt with their fair share of rumors and speculation when it comes to their marriage, the adorable pair recently opened up about how they keep their romance strong. “We’ve never had to worry about the spark,” Dean, 52, revealed to In Touch Weekly. “It’s there in good times, bad times, busy times … I’ve got a super hot wife, what can I say?”
Tori, 46, and Dean — who share five kids Liam, 13, Stella, 11, Hattie, 8, Finn, 7, and Beau, 3, as well as Dean’s 21-year-old son, Jack — have also been each other’s support throughout the years — which includes clapping back at internet trolls who try to bring them down.

‘Nuff Said!’
Dean said enough is enough as he took to Instagram in early April to address the unacceptable amount of bullying that Tori deals with on social media. “Stop Dragging my wife!!!! @torispelling. Watch this video. Nuff said,” the Due South actor captioned an emotional video via Instagram.
“I find myself having to come to my wife’s defense yet again,” he said in the four-minute clip, addressing the criticism Tori received after selling virtual meet and greets for $95. “I’m really disappointed because she’s catching flack and being dragged for doing a live meet and greet. People are upset that given the current situation we’re in and the lockdown and the coronavirus that she’s charging people money to do a meet and greet.”
Dean said that a company approached Tori with the “great idea,” saying “everyone needs entertainment.” The idea was to bring “some levity and some fun and some humor and love to [quarantine],” he explained.
“Instead, because it’s Tori Spelling, she gets dragged and she gets the haters coming down on her for simply doing something to entertain people,” he continued, noting “more importantly, to provide for her family.”
“What is wrong with that?” Dean argued. “What is wrong with providing for your family at this time? All the studios, everything is shut down. She has no way to work like everybody else. She has no job to go to, so why can she not work from home and do a live meet and greet with fans and give them some light and love and have some fun?”
As the proud husband went on, he praised Tori for being “one of the hardest working women” in Hollywood. “It used to be cancel culture, now it’s drag culture, and this has to stop too,” Dean concluded.

No Bullies Wanted!
Tori opened up about the effects of bullying as she came to the defense of her six children in a candid Instagram post on February 22. The actress revealed her kids “have been thru so much bullying” that she can “no longer not share and express” how they feel.
“Stella is 11. She was 1 in this pic. Innocent little being that only knew unconditional love, honesty, exploration and kindness,” the loving mom captioned a throwback photo of her kids. “Her beautiful heart, full of hope. Between her last year at her elementary school or the 1st year at her middle schoo0l, this human has endured enough bullying for a lifetime.”
Tori explained that in Stella’s old school, it was brought to her and husband Dean’s attention that their little girl was having issues with a school bully. “Never any consequences for his actions towards my daughter and other kids,” she said. “This child’s parents are on the board of the school. They give a lot of money to this school. Financially, we aren’t able too. So, they won.”
Tori said the bullying only got worse when they moved Stella to another school. “This time, my daughter was bullied so bad (including comments about her weight and sexual things he said that my daughter didn’t even know about),” she revealed. “This school did the right thing and expelled the boy but the damage had been done. She now associates her education with boys that have been so horrific to her. She wanted to empower other girls and be a business leader. She now has panic attacks and doesn’t want to return to school.”
The longtime actress explained how bullies were also targeting their eldest child, Liam. “He graduated last year from Encino but not without the principal telling us he was ‘unmotivated’ and lazy,” she continued. “Then, he started his new middle school. Same school as Stella. He was bullied to the point that he developed severe emotional-based headaches and stomach aches. This school ( who did help with Stella’s situation) did not help with Liams. He continued to be bullied so bad we had to leave.”
As she concluded her post, Tori admitted she was “was hesitant to post” because she was worried about being “judged.” Keep standing up for what’s right, Tori!

Pink Hair, Don’t Care
While hanging out at the “Nights of the Jack” VIP Preview Night on Wednesday, October 2, Tori defended her choice to dye her kids’ hair. “I mean, first of all, it was like Halloween costumes in pink and it washes out the next day,” she explained to Closer Weekly and other reporters. “It wasn’t dye at all.”
The blonde beauty also insisted that her daughters wanted their hair dyed pink for a special party. “It was a costume dress party where girls can be anything they want to be,” she said, “Screw the shamers!”

A Teachable Moment
Dean recently opened up about a heartbreaking moment he shared with his son Liam. The loving father explained during the latest episode of his podcast, “Daddy Issues” to his cohosts during their July 22 episode that his son approached him after accidentally seeing a rude comment on his dad’s social media in March.
“So [Tori] did this post about, you know, having a snack with the family, and all the moms got up in arms. ‘You feed your kids this? … No wonder they’re obese,’” Dean explained. “So, Liam saw this. He saw it on my phone, and he took me aside, and he said, ‘Dad, am I obese?’ And I said, ‘Dude, no. You are not obese.’”
Instead of getting outraged, Dean taught Liam a lesson about spreading kindness and not hate. “I took him aside, and I said, ‘Look, you know what? People are going to say horrible things. We’re in the spotlight, Mom and Dad,'” he said during the podcast. “‘People know who you are, and people are going to say nasty things. So you can fire back at them, or you can stop and think and send them some love.’”
He continued, “‘Think of how horrible their life must be if they’re gonna take the time to go on Mom’s account, look at it, and write something horrible about somebody they don’t know. How messed up is their life? How sad are they? They probably live in their mom’s basement. They probably have no friends,’” he said he told Liam. “So I said, ‘We can get mad about this, or we can take the high road, send them some love because they’re hurting.’ … Liam’s 12, going on 30. So, you know, he really got it.”

Dean Won’t Stand for Online Bullies
Dean was quick to defend his children after internet trolls started body-shaming them in the comment section of a photo Tori shared of their kiddos at a screening for the movie A Dog’s Way Home.
The comment section was quickly filled with haters asking, “Why do you let your kids get so fat?” Another person harshly wrote that their kids looked “terrible” in the pic. Dean, totally upset, quickly rushed to his family’s defense.
“I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children,” the Canadian-American actor wrote in response to Tori’s Instagram post. “Body-shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!! For your information, we went from a long day at school to the movie. And I don’t know any child that is NOT disheveled at the end of the day. Not to mention that just before this picture was taken, they were wrestling and running around with all the other kids that were at the movie.”
The Open Range star continued, “So I apologize we didn’t get the iron and steamer out to make them perfect for you. Their [sic] kids. They’re messy and dirty. That’s what they do.” He added, “And what’s wrong with shopping at Target??!! Over half of America shops there. The way they grow out of clothing so quickly is astounding. Are we supposed to shop at Gucci?? These are kids folks. Messy, stinky, little bundles of fun, laughter and love.”
Way to go, Dean!

Tori Claps Back
In September 2018, Tori clapped back after a few Instagram users left some nasty comments on a picture of her four oldest kids. “They just rolled out of bed and put on what was on the floor,” one user wrote. Another added, “They’re looking somewhat disheveled and not entirely happy on their first day of school.” One commented, “The kids are fat. Fat isn’t healthy.”
The So Notorious star proved just how much of a protective mom she is when she slammed the shamers for their rude and inconsiderate words. “I am a proud mama bear and I enjoy sharing our family journey with my family, friends, fans and online supportive and loyal community.”
Tori continued, “For all the individuals on here that felt the need to #momshame and #kidshame me and my children I say ‘Shame on you!’ I was raised to believe that if you can’t say anything nice about someone then don’t say anything at all.”

No Trouble in Paradise
Tori shot down rumors that she and her longtime hubby were experiencing marital trouble this past February.
“It sucks,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 45, told Us Weekly after fans speculated that the pair was going through a rough time and have an “aggressive, tumultuous relationship.” She continued, “This doesn’t exist … and it’s like, they have no idea. We don’t have relationship problems.”
Way to stand up for your marriage, girl!

Snack Shutdown
After Dean defended his kids against mean people online, the Chopped Canada host came to Tori’s rescue. When one user commented, “It’s disgusting that [Tori] feeds her children these bags of chemicals” but then “gets mad when people call her kids fat,” Dean couldn’t just stay quiet. On March 29, the actor took to Instagram to vent.
“I am sick and tired of everybody taking a shot at my wife Tori Spelling,” he began. “Just because she’s a celebrity they think they can say and do whatever they want. She posted about a snack, it’s a snack people. Haven’t we given our kids a snack before? Cakes, cookies whatever. It’s a snack.” He continued, “She’s a great mom. We’re great parents. Our kids eat healthy. They eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and occasionally they have a snack. So can we get over ourselves?”
Not quite finished with his rant yet, Dean added, “Listen, to all you parents out there who think you are holier-than-thou, let he who is without sin cast the first stone okay?”

Tori Is Still a ‘Beverly Hills’ Bombshell
Dean won’t let trolls bully his kids — or his wife! The Slasher actor rushed to Tori’sdefense after she shared a sexy bikini snapshot with BH90210 costars Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris.
Dean stepped into the social media frenzy in early June to clap back at one user after they commented that the women were “trying too hard” to be relevant. “I love how you haters have private [accounts]!” Dean wrote in response. “Let’s see what you trolls look like [you] cowards!”
What a dedicated hubby!
