Topher Grace And His Wife Admit They Had An ‘Awful, But Amazing’ First Year As New Parents To Baby Mabel

At least they’re being honest! That ’70s Show star Topher Grace and his wife, Ashley Hinshaw, just admitted in a new interview that they had an “awful, but amazing” 2018 after welcoming their first child, daughter Mabel Grace, in November 2017. While speaking with Us Weekly at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 6, the 40-year-old star revealed he and his spouse have already started making a few parenting changes to start the new year off right!

“We’re doing everything. We got a babysitter tonight. We’re doing everything!” Topher said before his 30-year-old wife, Ashley, jokingly quipped, “We’re never going home. We’ll be the last people here.”

To ensure other new parents don’t run into the same dilemmas as they did during baby Mabel’s first year, Topher and Ashley also shared some helpful advice for their peers. “Get some sleep now,” he said. “And save it for then.” So far, Mabel has been keeping her mom and dad very busy, and though they love to spend time with their little girl, Ashley admitted that “wine and Netflix,” will always be their guilty pleasures.

“We try to get some sleep when we have a babysitter, so we go to bed at 9. It’s fun stuff at the Grace household. Very exciting stuff,” she joked to reporters at a recent LA art gala.

Ashley and Topher got married in 2016 and like her parenting experience, the actress and model admitted it took her some time to adjust to being a bride and then a new wife. “It’s crazy! I mean, it’s good. It’s actually a little bit more different than I thought it would be. Because we lived together beforehand, so I didn’t really think that anything was going to change, but it does. It feels a little extra special,” she previously told Us Weekly. “I have to be honest, I haven’t been called Mrs. very many times, so I’m still getting used to it. When someone says, ‘Mrs. Grace,’ I look around for his mother.”
