He's been around for nearly four decades, but Tom Petty just hit a major milestone: His band topped the Billboard 200 chart for the first time ever!
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' 16th album, Hypnotic Eye, sold 131,000 copies in its first week, his bestselling since 1994's solo album, Wildflowers.
Despite the album's success, its lead single, "American Dream Plan B," didn't chart on the Hot 100. While Tom hasn't released a music video in connection with the record, he's currently touring and making television appearances to promote its debut.
During their 38 years in the business, the group has won three Grammys — with a total of 20 nominations — and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
