REPORTTom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Son Chet Hanks is Missing
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson‘s 25-year-old son, Chet Hanks, is reportedly missing.
According to Star Magazine, Chet — an aspiring rapper who goes by the name Chet Haze — disappeared a month ago after writing, “I’m not gonna be on Instagram for a while… Getting the f**k out of Dodge for a min… Gonna go get my mind right,” on Instagram in late July.

“A month went by without a word from Chet — not even a single phone call to his family or friends. It’s like he’s fallen off the face of the Earth,” a source close to the Hanks family told the entertainment news outlet.
The police are reportedly not yet involved in Chet’s missing persons case because his famous parents are trying to “keep the development out of the press.” A source revealed Tom, 59, and Rita, 58, may have hired a team of private investigators to help find their son.

Tom and Rita’s son has struggled with substance abuse since age 16 and checked into a rehab facility at his parents’ request last winter. “It was their caring intervention that led to his rehab stay last year,” a source close to the couple exclusively told Closer of Chet’s treatment. “They fear he’s on a downward spiral again.”
Tom and Rita — who married in 1988 — are also parents to a younger son, Truman Hanks, 19. The Forrest Gump actor additionally has two kids, son Colin Hanks, 37, and daughter Elizabeth Hanks, 33, from his previous marriage to actress Samantha Lewes.
