Tom Cruise Allegedly Can See Daughter Suri 10 Days A Month But Chooses Not To

It’s allegedly been five years since Tom Cruise has seen his now 12-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, but that’s reportedly been his choice, claims a source for Us Weekly. According to an Us Weekly source, the A-list actor could technically see his daughter up to 10 days a month, but he chooses not to. 

“Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to,” a source told the news outlet. “He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.”

Tom, 56, and his ex-wife, Katie Holmes, 39, previously wed in 2006 and divorced in 2012. They welcomed Suri in April 2006. And ever since their split, they’ve allegedly not been on speaking terms. “He was absent for one milestone after another,” an insider shared with RadarOnline. 

The Top Gun actor has always kept his personal life very private. In fact, he even left Hollywood a few years ago to instead live in Florida. Many think it’s to be closer to the Scientology headquarters, the controversial religion he’s so famously a part of, but according to a source, “what he’s really doing is setting the stage for a reunion with Suri.”

According to a RadarOnline report, the actor is now trying to meet with his little girl after she contacted him via phone and written letters. 

“Tom’s paving the way to come back into Suri’s life permanently — and many expect it to happen soon. He’s contacted Suri through a third party, who he trusts implicitly, to check in and make sure she’s okay,” an insider revealed to the outlet. “He wants her to know that he’s thought of her all this time and that he got all of her messages. In fact, he read and listened to each and every word.”

However, since Katie left the religion upon their split, it’s been rumored that “Tom couldn’t reach out [to Suri] before because Katie fled the religion.” However, Tom is reportedly no longer worried about that. “He believes he can bypass the rigid rule,” the source added.

So, how does Katie feel about all this? Even though her rep denied the claims Suri reached out to her dad after all this time, “Katie would never stand in the way of Suri having a relationship with her father. If that’s what Tom wants, the better,” the source said. 

Over the years, unlike Tom, Katie has expressed how important it is for her to be there for Suri, so we imagine this is all difficult for her. “Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That’s a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it’s heartbreaking,” Katie previously said of Suri growing older. “You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go. And that’s going to be very, very sad for me.” We hope it all works out…
