Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen Can’t Stop Arguing Over When He Will Retire

These two just can’t get on the same page! A source claims that Gisele Bündchen really wants her husband, Tom Brady, to retire following his Super Bowl loss on Sunday, Feb. 4. An insider told People she has “been telling friends for a couple years now that she would like him to retire and just be able to be at home, but he is so committed to the game.”

After his big win against the Atlanta Falcons last year, Gisele “was hopeful that he might want to go out on top, but he still wants to play,” the source added. “Everybody thinks he is going to want to go for at least one more season.”

Another source shared that “Gisele always supports Tom no matter what,” which is super sweet to hear. However, the insider claims that “nobody really knows what’s next for him now.”

Gisele showed her support for Tom when she penned him a sweet message following Sunday’s game. “Congratulations Eagles for winning the Super Bowl, what a game that was! Congratulations Patriots for giving your best and to my love, we are incredibly proud of you because we are able to see every day all the commitment, sacrifice and hard work that you have devoted to become the best in what you do. We love you!❤️” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

But even though the supermodel is so supportive of his football career, apparently Tom and Gisele frequently argue over when the football player will eventually retire. According to Tom as well, his wife, 37, wishes he’d throw in the towel sooner than later.

“I think we go back and forth,” the New England Patriots quarterback told CBS This Morning back in September when this past season first started. “She’ll always say to me, ‘Ten years ago you said it was only going to be another ten years. Now it’s ten years, and now you’re saying another five years.’”

And it seems as though there’s no slowing down for Tom, 40, who, last year became the second oldest quarterback in the history of the NFL to ever win the Super Bowl. During his chat with the talk show, the dad-of-three — who shares Benjamin, 8, and Vivian, 5, with Gisele, and John, 10, with ex Bridget Moynahan — said that he has preventative workouts and treatments to thank for his body’s outstanding mobility.

“I understand the risks that come with the contact sports and the physical nature of our game. I try to take these preventative approaches to limit whatever ramifications those may cause. I take this proactive approach to it, and I do feel like they’ve really worked,” he explained. “Some of my idols had to retire because of head injuries.”

Tom, who details his exact fitness regimen in his book, The TB12 Method, added, “So I thought, ‘How do I think about these head injuries in a preventative way if I still am going to continue to play the sport that I love?’ I love the sport so much that I want to keep playing, and I’m going to do everything that I can to take care of my body in advance of the hits that I’m going to take on Sunday.” We hope Tom and Gisele come to a decision that works out the best for the both of them!
