In a new video from the nonprofit Impact Homelessness, the Orlando-based organization is urging individuals to Rethink Homelessness, a campaign aimed at changing the stereotypes associated with those living without a home.

Highlighting real homeless people, the video features their stories, some of which are sure to surprise you. Holding various cardboard signs, one man's reads, "I've built robots," while another says, "I speak four languages."

Impact Homelessness believes the video will help spread its main message of compassion and understanding.

"Since the recession began, the face of homelessness has been changing," the organization's Facebook page reads. "From school children to the elderly, from the barely employed to the victims of abuse…homelessness can affect anyone."
