Dean Potter, a well-known rock climber, is used to pushing limits when it comes to his sport. But this time around, he wanted to get his dog Whisper in on the action.

So Dean set out to make his pet the world's first BASE jumping dog. And he succeeded by strapping Whisper on his back before jumping off Eiger, a 13,020 ft. mountain in Switzerland.

The climber chronicles the adventure in a 22-minute film entitled, When Dogs Fly, which recently premiered at the Mountainfilm Festival.

And don't worry: not only is Dean an expert BASE jumper but he equipped his mini Australian cattle dog with his own pair of goggles and head brace for the filmed fall.

We're happy to see both man and canine landed safely! Watch a trailer for the short below.
