REPORTA ‘Golden Girls’-Themed Café is Coming to NYC!

So exciting!

A Golden Girls-themed café is coming to NYC this September, according to DNAinfo. The small restaurant will be opened by longtime Washington Heights resident Michael J. LaRue, who will name the space Rue La Rue Café in honor of the late Rue McClanahan. The actress portrayed Blanche Devereaux on the hit sitcom from 1985 to 1992.

“I believe I can turn this place into a mini-tourist [hub] in Washington Heights,” LaRue told the publication. “I believe the neighborhood is going to support this. I believe the population exists here already.”
