portrays young Sheldon. The theoretical physicist is currently played by Jim Parsons on Big Bang, which has aired on CBS since September 2007.

Who is the cast of Young Sheldon?

Zoe Perry and Lance Barber play Sheldon’s parents, Mary Cooper and George Cooper, Sr., respectively. Zoe is the adult daughter of Roseanne actress Laurie Metcalf, who has guest-starred as Sheldon’s mother on Big Bang in the past. Young actors Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan portray Sheldon’s fraternal twin sister, Missy Cooper, and younger brother, George Cooper, Jr., respectively.

Who is the director of Young Sheldon?

Jon Favreau — known for directing hit movies including Elf, Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens, and The Jungle Book — will executive produce and direct the series’ first episode. The Big Bang Theory creators Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro have also joined the project.

When does Young Sheldon start?

Young Sheldon premiered on Monday, Sept. 25 on CBS just two days before it got picked up for 22 more episodes! SPOILER ALERT: the first episode was amazing! The show will return to the small screen on Thursday, Nov. 2.
