The Addams Family star Ken Weatherwax, who played the role of inventive son Pugsley on the hit 1960s television series, has died. He was 59-years-old.

According to an announcement posted by Ken’s niece, Shanyn Vieira, on Facebook, the actor passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7 from a heart attack.

“Just want to let you know that my uncle Ken Weatherwax who played Pugsley from ‘The Addams Family’ died today from a heart attack,” Vieira wrote. “So when you hear the theme song, please think of me!!!”

Two funerals are reportedly being planned — one for family, another for fans — to honor the former child star.

Ken starred on ‘The Addams Family’ alongside John Astin (Gomez Addams), Carolyn Jones (Morticia Addams) and Lisa Loring (Wednesday Addams) from 1964 – 1966 on ABC.

His other acting credits include a string of toothpaste commercials and a 1964 episode of ‘Wagon Train.’ In 1977, he reprised his role as Pugsley for a Halloween-themed ‘Addams Family’ TV movie on NBC.
